# Where is a dentist hardest to book from Google? A 13-jurisdiction view.

Validated update — August 9, 2026. This article now projects the final thirteen-jurisdiction table from the [Canadian dental findability scorecard](https://xonark.com/research/canadian-dental-findability/). Province and territory come only from the latest raw subject-listing record parsed by the committed subject-anchored parser at 97d5b2c8c8d8358422c52b005c36df3373d4e525 ; the earlier geography table is retired.

The national result does not land evenly across Canada. Among the ten provinces, the share of checked Google profiles with no booking link ranged from 58.3% in Alberta to 90.4% in New Brunswick —a 32.1 percentage-point spread .

The table below does not claim to explain the difference. It reports what was observed, using the same defined cohort and status rules in every jurisdiction.

## Coverage before ranking

Raw province or territory was parsed for 18,023 of 19,065 deduplicated listings (94.5%) . The remaining 1,042 listings had no raw province value and are excluded from every jurisdiction cut.

The parser result was compared with the canonical listing address where both were available: 3,924 of 3,924 comparable rows agreed , with zero mismatches. That check supports the field; it does not turn the missing 5.5% into known geography.

## The ten provinces

Ordered from the lowest to highest share without a Google-profile booking link:

## The three territories

The territorial rows complete the nationwide projection, but the counts are too small for confident ranking or broad generalization.

## What stands out—and what does not

Alberta is the low end of the provincial no-link range. Its 58.3% result is still a majority of checked profiles, but it is materially below the other provinces in this sweep.

New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island are at the high end. Their denominators are smaller than the four largest provinces, so the counts belong beside the percentages.

Quebec is a large high-share row. The data shows 2,462 of 2,853 checked profiles without a booking link. It does not contain evidence about language, software adoption, clinic policy, or why that pattern exists, so this article does not assign a cause.

Ontario shapes the national result. It accounts for 8,357 of the 18,023 listings with raw geography. Its 74.0% no-link share sits close to the 74.8% national checked-profile result, but the two denominators are not interchangeable.

## Boundaries

- “No booking link” means exactly booking_status='none' among checked Google profiles in that raw jurisdiction.

- “No listing website” means no non-booking website was stored on the Google listing after booking-only hosts were excluded.

- Raw geography was observed from June 29 to July 3, 2026. Booking status was observed from June 15 to June 18. Listing-website fields were observed from April 14 to June 9.

- These are aggregate public-front-door observations. They do not measure patient behaviour, appointment volume, or every way a clinic may accept a booking.
